As a final year History student, Amanda is flying the flag for the Greenwich campus.

Paul is studying Marine Engineering and is the student representative for the Medway campus.
“The Alumni fund gives students great learning opportunities that they may not have normally been given in the passed, and provides specialist equipment to those that need it the most. It also provides excellent books and resource to the main campus library which is shared by three other universities on my campus; there are always enough books on shelves and computers available, given this vast community of students. For this reason alone, it is important to support and raise money for the continuation that will help fellow students improve their quality of life and support academic learning to all level of students.”

Yvette is a Greenwich alumna herself and now works in the international office, based at the Avery Hill campus.
“I think it is important for students to know about what the university can offer afterwards through the Alumni Association. It is also good for helping students gain contacts and find out ways of getting help for whatever they endeavour to do in the future.”

Claire Evenden
Claire is a Senior Student Finance Manager and represents the Greenwich campus. Each day she works with students who find themselves in extreme financial emergencies, and is able to offer help thanks to the Alumni Fund.
“Students are really benefitting from the gifts of money that are made. Some students would be completely stranded without this help.”

Sharon Perera
Sharon works on the Medway campus as part of the Kent and Medway Life Long Learning Network.
“It is important to support the Alumni Fund because it fosters a spirit of caring for our students which in turn gives rise to a culture of owning and belonging.”
Where is the money going?
The money raised will go to the University Alumni Fund.
The Alumni Fund helps students in serious financial hardship, pays for books and resources in the library and provides specialist equipment for those with a disability or dyslexia.
